Parish Leadership Conference Location Change
The pre-registration numbers for the Parish Leadership Conference (PLC) this coming Saturday, February 6 are terrific – just under 300. We cannot adequately host this many people with the format of this year’s PLC in either the Great Hall or Christ the King Chapel at the Spiritual Life Center. So, the PLC is moving to the Cathedral of All Saints, Swan and Elk Streets, Albany 12210. There is on-street parking as well as parking in the State Parking Lot adjacent to the Cathedral. The weather forecast for Saturday in the Capital District is cloudy with a high of 23 and a 10% chance of precipitation.

Mission Team to Haiti

As 2010 is upon us, St. John's Church Mission Team prepared to leave for Lascahobas, Haiti on January 5th. Please pray for their safety and success. They travel - 8 strong - to install solar power at the School at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church. This will provide dependable electric power to a large segment of the school. In addition, it will allow the charging of batteries for the operation of computers and cell phones. When this mission was envisioned last April, we had no idea that we would be able to accomplish this. But God provided and GE gave us the solar panels (shipped them as well) and RPI students (member of the RPI Chapter of Engineers for a Sustainable World) provided all kinds of advise and support. The college itself donated 10 laptops and the students programmed them for the high school students at Holy Spirit. Donations came in amounts that we never thought would occur and the mission has become a reality. Thank you all for your support. The Mission Team feels truly blessed. The 8 member team is comprised of 3 engineers, 1 professor and 4 students. God Bless Them.

Message From Father Nigel Mumford

Dear faithful prayer partners,
Thank you again for all your prayers. They are defiantly working. I have been reading the emails that Beth put out, I have been deeply touched hearing about what went on when I was in a coma. The good news is that
